In a Word Blog Hop: Security Bracelet
Welcome to Day Two of the In a Word Blog Hop. When I signed up for this blog hop, I had no idea what I wanted to do with this project. We are supposed to reveal things about ourselves with the word or words we choose. I am horrible about describing myself so I turned to those who know me best. I asked my hubby and my closest girl friends to use one word to describe me...and to forgive the narcissistic request. I was dumbfounded.
I could not believe how highly these people thought of me. Surely they cannot be describing me? I thought it over for a long time and decided that maybe I could humbly try on these superlative traits...literally. Thus, the security bracelet. Linus had his blanket, and now I have a bracelet to wear when I am needing a small or incredibly large boost to the self esteem.
The awesome Scarlett Von Black from Tula Pink's Nightshade is on the outside,(for some reason I think she resembles me slightly) and all of those fantastic words are on the inside up against my skin. I love it!
The words are: commanding, confident, capable, genuine, charismatic, strong, warm, and unsinkable. Do I have them all fooled or what?
Many thanks to Madame Samm and to the lovely Linda for pulling this terrific event together. Thank you for visiting me today. Please make sure to visit the rest of the words at these blogs:

ReplyDeleteI love the security bracelet. What a fun way to remind yourself you are all of those superlative adjectives. We women often think far less of ourselves than others. Nice way to remind yourself, especially on "down" days.

Love your bracelet and know you deserve all those wonderful words. Wonderful way to incorporate "words".
ReplyDeleteLove it!
ReplyDeleteOh, I just love it!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing to find out how people think about you. It is never what you thought it would be. Thanks for sharing with your lovely bracelet.
ReplyDeleteIt's perfect!
ReplyDeleteI love that they are words from others about you! You should add one word of your own!
ReplyDeleteIt's really a surprize how other people see us isn't it!
ReplyDeleteI should make you feel good that other people think so highly of you. You must be a very special person.
ReplyDeleteLove this and hope that you grow to see your yourself in the same way that others do!
ReplyDeleteSometimes others know us better than we know ourselves. When I told my doctor I was talking to my ex-husband, he told me that after all the years that we were married to each other, he probably knows me better than I know myself in lots of ways. Please take to heart the way others see you and learn to love you in the same ways.
ReplyDeleteWhat a creative idea! And the best part is the everytime you wear it...you can take on the world!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful - and I love how you put the words on the inside - closest to you, almost makes them more meaningful!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
Very cute! Love nightshade :)
ReplyDeleteVery creative idea! You don't have your friends/hubby fooled, they just know the real you :)
ReplyDeleteI love the idea about the braclet. I did a scrap book page of me with words for my 70th Birthday. I had asked my family of 8 children to describe me in one or two words. I was astounded, surprised and somewhat pleased with their responses. My youngest who is 27 said I was an Inspiration and she wanted me to stay around so I could inspire her children too. Wow did that make my head swell, lol btw I have 30 grandkids & 17 great grand kids - My 2 youngest at 33 & 27 still have no kids yet. I agree with CeLynn your family know the real you.
ReplyDeletefun idea. thanks for sharing.
